Still present and fishing. Even caught a nice 3-4 pd bass this week but with a 4 wt rod (using 21 ft of 2 wt for a shooting head though, hedging toward UL).

JimRed, I would like to know more about that. But rather than hijack this thread, in the UL Fly Rods, Reels & Lines sub-forum there is a thread called “UL Shooting Heads” that would be more appropriate. Please tell me more about it there.

I still fish UL as well as non UL. I basically quit posting TRs a while back and don’t know if I’ll ever go back to doing so.

Thanks!

I moved from Idaho to Middle Tennessee about a year and a half ago (work related). My son and I have been tearing up the crappie by our house before it got cold. Now we’re just waiting for it to get a bit nicer so we can hit the Caney fork and find some small out of way spots in the Smokies.

I check the site once a day but don't post unless I see something I like. I'm getting out at least once a week in the Driftless as long as the temps hit 30 degrees. Mostly this winter I've been trying to check out new areas within 30 miles of my house. So far 6 new fishable streams.

Sweet , thats what we want to hear . I have a cabin in the drift less area but hardly ever get there . I probably would but it's always blown out so not worth the effort as I only know a couple of places and they aren't all that good .

Jangles,
Drop me a line if you ever get up this way. I'd love to get out with you and I know plenty of places to fish.

Interesting. I'll be in SD, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Oregon this summer. Maybe we'll cross paths. I'll PM you our itinerary if I can figure out how to add an attachment.
