I just saw a "hack" on YouTube discussing coating landing nets with flex seal, making them better on the fish.

Has anyone done this?

Hah! What a neat idea! I do know that rubber/silicone replacement bags are available online for about $20, but I'm not sure how that compares to the cost of flexcoat (and your labour).

Probably a whooooole lot less messy to just replace the bag. It's really not hard to do. Just daunting.
