 I don’t personally use my vehicle to hunt the Critters, but will use a shotgun, bullet rifle(22 rim fire), or air rifle to harvest them. I will skin them and add them to a board for drying, for future use in fly tying! Enjoy and Be Safe!

Those grey squirrel tails are also very useful for some streamer and wet fly patterns!

In the southern half of the country they make "solid-body" flies from armadillo shells.
Why did the chicken cross the road? To show the armadillo it could be done. (You kind of have to be from down here to understand this because the highways are crowded with dead armadillos who tried to cross the roadways)

Lane, I knew someone would remember!!! We had fun with that thread, it was the longest thread on TFR. If Gene Bethea (Pearow) were still with us he would scream "NO, NOT ANOTHER ONE!!"  I remember Jim Green, the guy who ran the fly shop at Backcountry in Tyler, said that he could whack off the tail of a dead squirrel in the street without stopping his truck. He kept a sharp machete next to him in his truck.

I actually thought about using road kill but it seems every time I see any the animal is mangled so badly it's not worth using. But I do keep an eye out just in case.
