New member here from East Tennessee. Been following the forum for about 4 years and got the bug bad. Fish all across E.T. for anything from musky to striper but always keep going back to redbreast and bluegill. Fish from everything from a jet boat to canoe to 3 belly boats. Thanks for such a great forum.

Morning All,

Just joined from Toronto after quite a bit of lurking! :)

I'm originally from the UK so nice to see some pics of home on the previous page. Have been spending quite a bit of time chasing the local panfish in the evenings with my 4wt TXL and really enjoy topwater in particular. I'm looking to go lighter, probably a 2wt as it's a little one sided at the moment!

Also spend the winters tying flies and waiting for things to thaw out so I've been enjoying the tying section on here too.

Cheers,

Richard

Hello everyone. I've been reading this site for awhile and decided to join. I started out with ultralight spin fishing, then I got into fly fishing. I started with a 6 wt and recently bought a 3wt. I am looking for a 1wt for the little guys here in georgia and will use the 3 for the bigger guys.
I really enjoy the pics and posts on this site and hope you'll like some of the pics i'll share.

Welcome!
You'll have plenty of choices for a 1WT

Thanks! Hoping to get my line ordered next week. Already have everything else I believe. Redington 3wt classic trout, okuma sierra reel, backing, leaders. Just gotta get the line.

Hello everyone!

I´ve been reading this forums for quite a while and now that I made my frist fishing related video, very light fishing to be seen in the pic section btw, I decided to join. I´m 34 years old and from Austria. My main sport is trials riding, however I fish basically every day if the weather allowes me to. Huchen(Taimen) in the Winter, trout, graylings, carp etc in the Summer. I´m also a lot into casting - usually to be really satisfied, I want to catch a fish with a nice cast. So, if I can´t go fishing I go at least an hour out to pratice some backhand switch casts or whatever... My favourite kind of fishing is light fishing, hence the forum. My favourite rod for that purpose is the TFO finesse #3 with a Vosseler RC reel, which balances is it very good. I really prefer the slow action of that rod over those #3 rods that are like smaller super fast #5 or #6 rods. It works well for the short speycasting I use so much in small stream situations.

Welcome! Trials riding eh? As in on a bike? I did that once upon a time and I can see your interest in the styles of casting being related.
Looking forward to more from Austria!

Sup everyone. Been a long time lurker. First time poster. Lifelong fisherman. I pretty much fish for anything with fins... With the Mississippi River in the middle and the Driftless surrounding me I have no shortage of amazing fishing at my doorstep. When I'm not fishing I can be found cooking and preparing seafood and steaks at the restaurant that I am the head chef for. Glad I finally signed up and ready to give back now that I've taken so much information from this forum.

Have a good day and tight lines to all.

Itch

thanks!

haha, yes I do it on a bike, if you are interested here is my last video of riding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtMaXoggvyA

However, in the last year or so it was more fishing than riding to be honest - I´m still not too comfortable to really admit that. :-)
