Has anyone cast this rod yet? The 9' 2wt is very intriguing.

No, but then I don't buy the rods like that, I like blanks and build them so I can't help ya.

That said, 9' 2wt blank or factory build would be a sweety. Hard to say whether some offerings like that are really 2 wts or are they more like 3wts? Some CCS data on longer 2 wt blanks when measured actually look more 3-ish by the numbers.

Could be a great rod even if it is a bit high power for a two, you're still swingin' a fun stick there.

I'm like knotjoe , I prefer to build my rods . I built a 9' 2wt 2 years ago and sadly I broke the tip the first time I lined it , totally my fault . Any way , all the reviews I've read on the Echo have been good . I dont think Tim would risk his name on a bad rod .

Now a 9' 2-weight sounds like a nice toy to play with. I looked for Echo blanks, but unfortunately Echo doesn't sell blanks, just ready-made rods. Oh well!

Did you ever purchase the 2 wt? I've been considering either the 2 wt or 3 wt version and was curious if you had any input.
