Hello all,new member here and looking for your opinion.Im in the market for a 0 to 2 weight reel.Looking to fish small mountain streams for trout and to play with the smaller bluegill that inhabit our smaller local lakes.Ive narrowed my search between the Ross Colorado and the Sage click. So let's hear it.

Whatever fits your budget and flavor.

Colorado: Simple and to the point

Battenkill: A bit classic

CFO: A bit more classic, but a little higher end

Sage Click: A modern elite reel flavored for the classic crowd.

IMO. Don't forget a Danielsson Midge. My ULA Purist (ultra large arbor) is still my favorite UL (ultra light) reel. The Midge is the modern era model of that reel.

+1 for the Battenkill. Classic and bulletproof and a great value. If I had to choose between the Colorado and the Click, definitely the Colorado. I have a Danielsson Midge that I really want to love but so far don't. Other options to consider (admittedly not clickers): 3-Tand TF-20 (no one needs a sealed drag on a 2- or 3-wt, but on the other hand: drop it, dunk it, etc., guilt-free) and Vosseler RC1, an elegant little chunk of German engineering.

Hardy Marquis LWT 2/3. A stellar choice for a click/pawl reel, and currently being made too.

Hardy has a new reel being released shortly called the Ultraclick UCL. Their site mentions it is the lightest reel they have ever produced. It looks incredible and the entire series is priced at $250. It is on the Hardy website and hopefully available November 2020.

Of the two you mentioned I would probably choose the Ross Colorado. Other good choices might be a Galvan Brookie, or if you would want the lightest fly reel out there, the Wychwood River & Stream 2/'3 weight reel at 1.8 ounce. The Wychwood reel is currently going at about $145 at Harris Sports Mail.
