Has anyone see these yet? I like the more classic styling. That 2wt has me yearning for a new rod.

This is not the group to tell you that you don't need a new rod :D

I cast the 2wt two weeks ago. Beautiful little rod, nicest I've ever cast including the Dart and a few others. I threw a nice tight loop 40 yards and don't consider myself a great caster. Really sweet 20 yard casts, very accurate. Great feel, can't wait to order mine. I'll probably sell my Sage graphite III 7' 4wt to offset the cost.

120 ft casts with a 2wt? You are surely a god among fly fishermen!

I am SUPER interested in the 8' 3wt! Anybody have time with one and can field a report?

I'd like to retract my "40 yards" and change it to feet!

There wasn't a 3wt to cast, I wouldn't want it anyway personally. I have four 4wts. And, like many here, 12 other rods in various weights. But I LOVE ultralight gear.

I also cast the Hardy Ultralight 4wt, 6 wt, 8wt and my son (14) loved the 12. Proud dad, he has a great cast.

I will absolutely get the Hardy 2wt, just so smooth. It fits my stroke. Shoots line unlike anything I've cast in that size. The entire Ultralight lineup just shocked me, after 25 years of fly fishing.

Please don't take my experience as gospel though, cast it for yourself We all have our preference.

Sounds a gem
Nice it’s a 4-piece as well.

I waggled the 2wt in my local fly shop, felt unbelievably light. Made the sage R8 next to it in the rack feel heavy!

I’ve got the ultralite NSX in a 4 wt, and that’s light, but the SR with the single reel seat feels even lighter. Well done hardy.

A 7' 2wt should feel light next to a Sage R8, the smallest of which is an 8'6" 4wt. ;)

I like my 8' 3wt Hardy NSX SR quite a bit!!

We knew what you meant. For me, 40 ft with a 2 wt would be an accomplishment.
