What type or brand name is the silver ported reel and rod on the pic from the main page?

Thank you.

Sorry I stated that wrong-I am referring to the photo with 4 rods at the top of the page for this part of the forums-UL fly rods, reels & lines.

They look like Orvis to me also. The way the grip transitions to the rod blank looks like a Superfine Trout Bum. The reel looks like a CFO.

I'm not an Orvis expert, so take my guess for just that.

The rod is an Orvis Superfine (maybe a 7'6" 1wt or a 7'9" 2wt Ultrafine)- an early model of the unsanded graphite blank variety. I think the reel is Ross Colorado? I'm not sure on that one. I think Les would know the reel.

I agree with Chris on the rod, but I don't think it is a Ross Colorado because it doesn't have a large black plastic hub piece on the spool. I think the reel might be the "silver" version of the old Bass Pro Shops Ultralight Fly Reel.

And Cowpokey, I think the photo you referred to is actually a silhouette of a Sage 3100. The Click reels have more porting in the "Y" shaped supports on the frame of the reel. The older 3100 reels simply had the three holes ported on the "Y" support.

If the rod is an Orvis SFT and an older version, it would have the blue wraps also, I was thinking the reel was also an Orvis, maybe an old Battenkill

The reel if I remember correctly is a BPS ultralight from a couple of years ago. Nothing fancy.

I think you're right. Did the Click replace the 3100?

It's a 3100 series Sage. It was replaced by the Click. A really nice reel in my humble opinion, I chose it for my TXL-#00. The forum picture probably weighed heavy in the decision process, I really liked the look of that reel...

Edit: At least I thought it was at the time... I will humbly defer to those of you who know for reel...

The reel is the older silver colored BassPro UL clicker. If memory serves right, the rod is a custom Dan Craft 1wt.

I appreciate all the folks that answered my original question.

I like the look of that outfit. I am becoming rather fond of a retro or classic look.
