It will be a good match, and may well have some plastic. It is a click/pawl drag and is adjustable.

Gary, I've not used one or even seen one in the flesh. From the pics, they kind of look like an STH reel, but I doubt that they are made by STH. Most likely made in Korea.

I like the click pawl reels, but the only thing I see that I do not like about the TFO is the ported spool back and frame. When you put the hot sauce on the gear, it has a tendency to migrate onto the backing and line. I have an old Roddy 31, just like the Heddon 310, that is great. Closed back frame and spool, fairly light also. May have to start searching for a Heddon 300.

Gary, I've not used the Hot Sauce yet, I've heard good things about it though. I use a light gun grease on my reels, the same stuff I use on my semi-auto pistols. The stuff is Milcomm's TW25b. This is the same grease they use in the military for those big Gatling type electric cannons on fighter aircraft. It's a very light PTFE based grease. I like it because it doesn't migrate and I don't have to worry about water washout. I apply it once a year and I'm good to go.

Hot Sauce doesn't wash out, and unless your reel is spinning viciously, or you over-apply the Hot Sauce grease (I did this once, it was a disgusting mess, and I had to replace 100 yards of backing), it doesn't move around too much.

Well, I wear nasty shirts when dealing with lubricating my tackle...it is inevitable that I will get funky.
Hot Sauce is GREAT grease for your click/pawl reels, and that is all I recommend, speaking of which...I like my Lamsons which require little to no maintenance.

I'll stick to TW25b, if it works on fighter plane electric cannons, and my own gear, I see no need to change.

Cannons are overrated...I prefer a slingshot and a stone!
