I would participate, but can't host just yet.

Interested. What type of patterns? Flies for sand bass, crappie, or something else? Swap would probably end too late for Texas stocker bows.

Several looks, but no takers. Swap may have to wait!

Not ready to do this again.

I hosted a swap back in early 2013. When I read the purpose of the swaps (getting different patterns from other and having a set to sell to highest bidder with monies going to the forum to help support it) I was all in. When all was said and done we had a set of a dozen flies up for bids and with close to 2,000 members I did not receive a single offer. After two weeks with no response I kept the extra set and sent a check for $50 to the forum for support.

Perhaps a better use would be to make a set for the swap and to donate extra flies to Reel Recovery or another cause. The last time I hosted we found this to be a good use and reel recovery can always use the flies.

As for supporting the site, J's involvement would be needed or it doesn't work. In the beginning it did provide money and worked well.

I'm sorry it didn't pan out.

I'd be in for a dozen or so flies, but don't have the time to host at the moment.
