 Post subject: some new flies

here are a few that i tied based off some @Chris in Louisiana has on his site. they look pretty ugly but hopefully the white bass wont care. we got a ton of rain today so it's gonna be a week before the fish are back up in the holes.

That first one should be a killer. I use a similar tie for smallies and yellow perch.

Wildcat, I hate being the one who has to break this to you, but...

How your flies look in the vise doesn't really matter much, rather how lifelike they look and act in the water. So you have little choice but to take those flies down to the water, present them to some fish, and find out what their opinion is.

Nice set of flies, Wildcat. And glad some of my posts could serve as inspiration.

I think they all should fare pretty well with the white bass. You'll have to let us know which pattern the fish prefer once the water goes back down a bit.

Out of curiousity what are the white eyes on the black fly made from? I really like the look, but can't tell from the image if they're weighted or some sort of foam.

thanks for the compliments.
the white eyes are made from some fake pearly bead chain my wife had. they are light weight. i wrapped the hook with some copper wire i had from other projects. you can see the wire just in front of the eyes.
