Hee. So was I.
You should join the swap. Talent isn't a prerequisite!

I'm pretty limited in what I tie but I'll see where I am when the next one comes around .

Alright folks, let's consider this fly swap roster closed! There are six total participants, so unless there are objections let's tie a dozen flies and everybody gets 2 per person. Yes, this means you get 2 of your own flies back but it makes the packaging easier for me as everybody gets the same fly set back and I'm not the sharpest tool in the drawer so work with me. I will PM further instructions and my address to participants in a couple minutes.
If you look at the first post in this thread I have listed the roster and tentative flies for those who have said what they are tying. You can change your mind and tie whatever you want though.

Not sure what’s going on, by all accounts my reply to your PM won’t send. So I’m throwing my flies, self addressed return envelope and cash to cover the return postage, if that is acceptable, in the mail tomorrow.

I should have checked the tying forum here more often. Missed the cut by 2 days, dangit.

The deadline isn't firm at all, tie them when you can. I just made up an arbitrary timeline so that we aren't still working on this in fall

As an update, I am waiting on one fly package to arrive and then I will repackage return shipments on my next day off. Everybody's ties are beautiful and very very fishy. I ended up tying a dozen of Dick Empie's Deadly Shiner fly, to add some garish color and stained water performance to all your beautiful naturals

All fly packages were shipped out this morning. Look for them by the end of the week. That is not true for wheezeburnt, whose package is apparently taking the overland route duct-taped to a moose. At least, I think that is what the customs paperwork I had to fill out said -- I didn't read the fine print.

Received my package yesterday evening. Looks like a great mix of flies! Hoping to go try a few out on the Rio Grande Cichlids in New Orleans City Park tomorrow.
Thanks everyone.

Received the flies today, they have already been put into my vest and should see some action this week. Thanks Ike for putting this together!
