Got a couple free hours this afternoon and took my wife to her favorite spot to try and catch some baby tarpon. I was using my 1wt and she has a Maxcatch 2wt in Pink. We landed 4 baby tarpon... This was the only one worth sharing a Pic of. Her expression says it all. That's her biggest fish ever. (She learned to cast on a 2wt...she won't use any other weight.) That look says it all!!! Clearly she had a great time!
Glad y'all caught some. Sometimes size doesn't matter...it's a matter of getting out and having some fun, even if it's just admiring a sunrise or sunset.

Watching her grab that leader and lift that fish out of the water is worth all the other tarpon I've landed!
I think I'm more excited than she is!

Up the two weight, congrats on a fly fisher wife. Well done, very credible fish, a tarpon at that.

Congratulations. That fish would have been a blast on a 6 weight.

That's the largest "baby" Tarpon I believe you've posted. What a fish, must go better than 5 lbs.

What a picture and what a fish! Wish my wife would fish...or maybe not.
