All I carried with me were a few gurglers I tied up right before I left. Three black and a white one I found on my dresser.

The canal didn't give up much. What I did raise ended up throwing the hook. Soon, a little gator started chasing the fly. Time to move on.

The retention pond has been producing. First cast, the white gurgler disappeared in a boil. Second cast produced as well. This spot for some reason is filled with smaller fish. We don't get many bigger than this guy.

I'm sure there's a story here

Can't wait for it to be warm enough to fish gurglers again here in NJ. Most fish are still holding to bottom.

oh thats easy...anybody can shoot pool in a warm pool hall..but extreme pool underwater...now thats a real sport. You just happened upon a game that went bad. If you look around you'll probably find a couple of broken pool cues indicating how serious the game really was... it looks like a few broken teeth around the 4 ball...just my guess :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol nice fish, ugly gator.
