Very nice, big fun on a 3 weight. How long is your rod?

It's really nice to hear from you again and to see those pics. I was starting to wonder about you. By the way, what are those fish below the mackerel? Are they some kind of pompano?

Hello,

Those are jacks, black bar Jacks mostly.

All these fish fight very hard for their size.

These are palometa (a kind of pompano) landed on the same spot with my 6wt.

It's usually very windy across my throwing arm there so, I mostly take my 6wt to cast a little farther. ImageImageImage

Roble, where in the heck have you been??!!! I've been coming on here forever and a day looking and watching for a post by you! I love reading about your exploits with your 1 and 3 wts in the salt! It absolutely makes my day reading about how you catch all these freakin saltwater fish on those little flyweight rods!

Glad to see you posting again! If you're still in P.R., keep your head down ref Dorian. You guys just can't seem to catch a break from these stupid storms.

Take care, brother!

Thanks guys!

I'm fishing from a rock, the water is 6 to 10 feet down.

Bringing the fish to hand must be quite a challenge!

Sometimes... I mostly grab the leader and pull them up. When they decide to hide in the rocks it's when it gets interesting. Lost a couple fly lines already to rock tangles.
