Thanks guys. Wasn't a big one but definitely nice looking one. Not that many of them in that stream, most fish there are European white fish like chub and dace.

But I take what I can get, on a light rod it still is fun

About 11 inch brown trout. Caught on a simple nymph. Put up a good fight as I used my 1wt rod.

Found a nice little small stream that doesn't have many big fish but is quite natural and wild.

Yes, Mayan Cichlid. I hear they're good to eat. I'm not a cook, so everything goes back.

At work a fisherman came in to buy some more crappie lures & said they were catching Cichlid & peacock bass up in North Port ! Knew the peas were down near Naples, but in North Port swimming with the Cichlids ??

Where? I'd play hooky from work tomorrow if they were here!

Looks like a great day on the water! I'll have to tie up a few of those nymphs.

Yeah was great. I will post a step by step for the nymph this weekend, it caught really well that day and under water it looks great too as the cdc catches a bit of air (tested in aquarium)

Thanks. I'm happy about any fish albeit a big trout of course is great. Big ones over maybe 15 inches are rare here though

One of a couple of Georgia rainbows. Tip: get there BEFORE the delayed harvest ends, or you'll find the streams picked clean!
