I posted a "report" yesterday, but apparently didn't hit the submit button? It wasn't all that great; the fish were small, and there weren't many. I included pictures of those fish. Some were kind of in focus.

Here's one

This one was almost in focus

Does it count when you pin em on the top of their head?

This guy missed a few times and then didn't

If you are reading this, that means I successfully hit all the right buttons. Like I said, it wasn't a very impressive trip, but I enjoyed it.

Your pictures came through quite nicely. But please, do tell about the Bomber. I was expecting to see something about a deer-hair bodied dry fly.

We like fishing reports no matter how blurry the pictures or small the fish. Thanks!

The "bomber" in question looks like a variant of a stealth bomber. In the northeast and Canadian maritimes it would refer to the football shaped deer hair salmon dry fly. Out here, it refers to a huge chironomid pupae pattern, tied on a 3XL hook and used for stillwater trout. It is funny how regional language can be sometimes.

Nice report! I understand gar are very difficult to hook on flies! Yes, a bomber up here is an elongated deerhair fly with palmered hackle thru it, and sometimes a calftail tail and/or forward single wing.
