Soundtrack for today's entry.

LIFE HACK: Keeping a spare key in your wallet might someday turn out to be a money saving act. Spared me the aggravation Saturday.

Craft foam, feathers, and some sort of natural fiber for the tail and you're in business. Thank you Mr. Gartside

There were a few coppernose Saturday. They were sporting some color!

This morning started off with a giggle

They *kinda* got bigger

I came upon some decent sized gar congregated in a small spot. And this guy.

I truly believe we anglers should practice conservation as well as etiquette. He was there first, it's his spot. Those were some good gar, too. I hope he fared well...

There were a few more coppernoses down the way. Then pancakes on the griddle. Not much to report!

Nice Coppernose, a fish I long to have in hand some day just cuz they look nice.

Suppose one could get used to them being around, but if I saw one of those in my fishin' hole I would immediately commence to making ca-ca. And then run. Pretty over-the-top dentition on those critters (not referring to the gars, either).

I'll stick with the manageable sized Skinks of flyover country, but definitely gonna embrace some of those green/white Gurglers.

I don’t think I can ever get used to alligators in my fishing hole. That’s one advantage to living north.

Nice post! Good sound track; good hack (I keep one ziptied up under the 4wd where it won't encounter the 'landscape'.) And lovely fish! I'm from the great white gator-free north, but I HAVE gotten used to sharing water with gators while fishing in South Carolina. Never tempted to wade, though.
