Looking at the various build threads using cap and ring reel seats, I need to ask if the caps are epoxied on or do some of you pin them to the inserts? I'm considering a cork insert and can't quite tell which way to go.
There's also a possibility that I may go with dual rings.

Either the caps are epoxied, or they're left off entirely and the reel seat 'insert' has a flare so the rings can't come off.

adhesive epoxy. Prep the surfaces first, metal and wood.
