This rod blank is very nice. It balances well with an Orvis battenkill 2 reel. It casts very nicely with a aquanova WF1 line. Struble D2-S reel seat. Old gold wraps. The blank has a medium action, not too fast, not too slow. It loads nicely with a few feet of line out, and casts nicely out to 30 ft. It will handle some wind. I have good loop control with the rod. It It takes a few minutes fishing it to not overpower the blank. I fished it with a bluesky ultralight furled leader. I fished size 20 and smaller dry flies, and size 16 soft hackles. I have not casted another 0 weight rod so I have nothing to compare it to. I had a sage txl 2 weight, and compared to that rod this rod flexes more into the middle of the blank. I really like this rod.

Mark at RDP has built 5 small rods for me in the past. Ask him about my "Surgeon Series" rods. Good stuff he builds and very reasonable also. I have 00 wt blank headed his way for a build. Can't wait for the finished product.
