I have many broken rods laying about but it never occurred to me they could be used as a reamer. The dog got ahold of my "conventional" rod the other week, would have fit the bill nicely. Few more photos for you guys, have all the 3" perfects cleaned deburred and ready to send off for anodising, going with the natural greyish look that hard anodising produces. Thanks for looking Vince

Love the reels, and awesome pictures! What kind of wood are the reels on. Love the grain!

Thanks John and it Mango, just about every house here in the older suburbs has tree in there back yard but it's over looked as a an exotic timber. whack means nice and cheap but also very unique to the untrained eye. On another note that actual slab will be the handle on your net too!

Well finally the day has come as I completed several 3" Perfects and it has been in the eleventh hour as we leave for Canada come Saturday morning. There has been many hours with build and I'm truly satisfied with the end result. I hope you all enjoy and hope fully soon I will have a few picture in the mountains to share with you. Oh yeah the Kabuto is yet to be completed but once I rerun home I will devote my time to it. Ijuin Rod 7'00" Yomogi Blank, blackend nickel silver slide rings drawn and machined by yours truly and Mango inset, the reel is loaded with Cortland 3wt dt and casts beautiful with this set up. The balance is about an inch in from the front of the grip and would be nicer to be further up the rod as fellow member Lonefisherman stated earlier in the piece. Hope you all enjoy final result so far and keep an eye out as I hope to be producing more in the coming future. Thanks for the kind words and support it been greatly appreciated. Cheers Vince.

Evening guys, I thought I would breathe some life into this post, I finally finished the Kabuto 6633 a few weeks back, this rod has been truly difficult for me, not in an over complicated manufactured way, but just I get close to completion but never feel satisfied with the result so start all over again. Any ways I hope you all enjoy my final take on this brilliant taper, It is one of the best casting rods I have ever laid my hands on period! it can produce consistent tight loops all day and in the finest of accuracy. Thanks again guys and I appreciate your tolerance to my ramblings. Cheers Vince
