Hello, first post on the forum. I'm Jeff. I've been visiting for about a year, wondering if my 3 wt's would qualify me as an ultralight guy. Well, I recently purchased a TXL-F 0wt and now it's official, I've gone ultralight.
I've been fly fishing most of my life, and I am a total trout bum. I spend most of my fishing days in the Sierra Nevada here in Ca, or on the many tailwaters in our valley.
I also enjoy fly tying as well as rod building, and have been doing both for 20+ years. I've also just recently purchased a 2wt TXL-F and I will be heading over to the rod building threads to ask some questions and learn and share some things there as well.
I'm looking forward to joining in here and sharing some of my TR's and experiences with the group. Thanks to admin for the approval and thanks for looking. This should be a lot of fun here!

Thanks for all of the welcome's you guys. This is a good place!
And, Joe C and plecain. I did get the 0wt out on the first weekend that I owned it (two weeks ago) and I love the rod. I was very surprised of the power within this little rod! I had to borrow a buddy's Lamson reel loaded with a 00wt line but the rod cast it just fine. I've now got a new Rio DT0wt line and a sage click to match it up with and I'll give it a go on Monday. I'm stoked!

Oh and by the way, the aforementioned TXL-F 2wt is a blank that I'm going to build, not a rod yet.

JD I'd like to see pictures of it as you progress or when it's done. I built a 00 wt. TXL and a 1 wt. TXL-F from blanks. Sitting in my shop are 2 wt. and 3 wt. blanks (couldn't resist the closeout prices).
