Hello Everyone,
I have been getting the fishing bug lately and I am now thinking ultralight. I currently have 20 year old Sage 5 and 7 weight graphite rods. I am thinking that I would like a fairly short 1-3 weight for Austin's urban creeks and small bass and sunfish.

Yesterday I purchased a TFO TFG FWSF 601-2 FLy/Spin rod to use with both fly and ultralight spinning reels.

For a dedicated ultralight flyrod I am studying this forum and the fiberglass forum to see what I might like best. I can see that there is a lot of good information here.

Welcome! I've been very happy with my TFO Signature 6' 2wt and 7'6" 3wt rods. Great rods at good prices IMO.

Welcome aboard. I've learned alot on this forum and it's widened my fishing spectrum....no more tunnel vision.

Welcome, I fish a fair number of Austin's urban creeks, mostly Onion, but I've taken a crack at just about all of them with enough flow. My favorite rods are 3 weight glass at 7'6" and under, although I do have a 7'9" TFO Finesse 3 wt that is sweet. Waiting for the epoxy to harden on my first glass 2 weight.

Welcome from another Austinite! There's lots of Central Texans here.
I too had Sage 6wt and 9wt for 20 years before finding a 0wt and this forum.
Thus started my slippery slide into ULFF.
