Hello There! I live in Italy near Florence and I’m an absolut beginner in flyfishing: I came from ultra light spinning and I started flyfishing just 5 months ago, in november when I went to a training course. I always practice C&R and I usually fish for trouts and chubs in small rivers here around my house. In january I started to tie my own flys (as I made my minnows too). At the moment I use a line #3, DTF: around me nobody uses the WF line, and I cast with a Shimano biocraft xtrc 7’6”. Usually I go fishing once or twice a week, chubs at the moment are my favorite target ;-) because they are all around me. The trout season in Italy is just begun, we can fish for trout from march to october due to the reproduction period, so I'll try to catch some trouts in the next weeks (I wish). Ciao ciao

Welcome!! Looking forward to reading about how fly fishing is done in Italy. There's always something new to learn from others.
