I tried to download one of my many sub categories of photos on photobucket. I left it downloading for 4 hours and nothing happened. I would like to save my photobucket pics. Anybody know a good way to do that?(and easy)(cause I'm a dummy)-p-

Eric, the problem with Pearow doing that is he would have to BUY an external hard drive, and Gene tends to be very, very, very, very "frugal" with his money. Besides, they probably don't even have a library in Murchison, TX.

I too have suffered from this decision by Photobucket. I ended up also going with postimage and it seems to be working ok for me so far. I downloaded all of my pictures that I need from Photobucket, it was painful and took a while though. I guess I will keep using postimage until they change their terms of use too

Guys, apologies for raising the dead... but PhotoBucket still lives and is back trying to get people to pay for their accounts. The emails that are sent, are vaguely threatening.
There is no such thing as "free". YOU become the product. All these 3rd party image hosts provided their services from the advertising revenues obtained by visitors viewing your images.
For many years now, advertising revenue has fallen and fallen. One culprit it the adblocker. A more recent cause is that businesses either no longer need to advertise or they do not have the money to advertise, or that nobody is buying their product/s... all due to the current global situation.
This does not help, but NO 3rd party image hosts can be trusted (to be able to remain in business).
The only image host that looks promising at the moment is imgur.
PostImages is full of spam, porn, and popunders. If you use an ad blocker, you may not notice this. However, others WILL notice, when they look at YOUR photos. Do you want this? Do you think you can trust this company?
No matter what your image host is, please, please, please backup your images.
If you do not delete your PhotoBucket images, and you do not break the links, they CAN presently be seen, downloaded and used.
If you do delete your PhotoBucket images, or break the links, the only way to restore these to posts is by you providing a backup.
I do not have the time at the moment, but I realize this is urgent. As soon as possible, I will try to rescue as many of the PhotoBucket images, that are posted on this forum, as possible.
