Hi all,
thanks for the add. Just to say quick hello. My passion is the Sage TXL #2 3 piece rod. Assembled one for some years ago and have fished it ever since every year. Blessed with rivers and lakes around me with artic chair and brown trouts. This rod has given me the most joy of all the rods I have fished in my lifetime.
thanks,
Bragi from Iceland

Sweet pictures and welcome . A question about your town / country . Is your crime rate low ? I only ask because I see your rods stored outside or are they just there for the picture . Anyway , welcome to the forum .

Anyway , welcome to the forum . Yes, crime rates are very low here. I keep my rods on the wall all summer long and take them down when season is over. Same with the car, never locked. Maybe I should be more careful, you never know.

Welcome! Do you mean to say that you live in a place where you can take arctic char on an ultralight fly rod? That sounds to me like the stuff dreams are made of!

Really enjoyed the collection of pictures in your post. Really gives a good all around vision of the fishing environment. I'd say your really blessed with fine fish. I suppose the fishing is essentially shut down outside of the 90 days?

JimRed, thanks for the comment. Yes the majority of the rivers is closed for fishing outside of the 90 days opening. Usually the rivers opened in 1st of June to 21 of June all depending of location. Some rivers open later, like the sea trout rivers, but most of them close around 1st of September. However, we still have rivers opened until last of October. We have different system in our country compared to others. Some of our lakes are opened for fishing all year, but we have short summer and cold winter, so it is ice on the waters. If you are interested in fishing here, I can explain this in more details if you want. Basically, every river we have has fish in it. (brown trout, Atlantic salmon, artic char) and we have quite many rivers some shots of my favorite river (Laxá in Mývatn) (brown trout) https://www.dropbox.com/s/88m3cwub080pq ... 5.jpg?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/6gjhm3ao16arv ... 8.jpg?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/2zd10b5kwqxbl ... 4.jpg?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ed2sqg6ks2sl ... 9.jpg?dl=0
