For those of you on this forum that live in the northeast part of DFW; this might be of interest. There is a new small neighborhood park in the City of Anna that is almost finished that is adjacent to a Soil Conservation Lake. I spoke with the City and fishing is allowed at the park as well as access to the lake for small non motor watercraft(i.e. canoe, kayak, tube, etc.). The lake is about 35 acres or so and looks pretty nice as far as cover, structure, etc. It is fed from natural spring park. If you look up Bear Creek Dr. Anna, Texas in Google Earth, you should be able to find it.
I haven’t fished it yet, but I did go out there one evening to check it out and it looked pretty fishy and I saw a good bit if feeding going on. I’ll be trying it out soon and I thought I’d share the info since I know there are several members on here who might like to give it a try.

Interesting. I might have fished this with my friend Jerry when it was solely private, but a subdivision is going in and there was a planned park. Lots of good bass if same place. Rarely use UL when throwing game changers or big deer hair frogs.
I'd like to meet up some time Les

I'll definitely be out there next week in my float tube. Those Soil Conservation Lakes can hold some very nice fish of all species.
