None of the front page entries and dates are showing up for me since Dec 22, 2011 even though if I enter the topic, there are the new post. Kind of a problem but I guess I can live with it!

Admin, The masthead photo is missing from the directory page. Can you please look into where it went?
Thanks

Les,
It appears to be there now. Is it still missing for you?

Might have been me. I was making a forum backup around that time. The backup only takes a couple minutes, so maybe your timing was unlucky.

I'm suddenly getting e-mails every time that someone posts a comment on one of the threads that I commented on. I have tried the "Unsubscribe" link but it apparently is not working. What can I do to stop receiving these e-mails?

Cliff, When you compose your post using the "Full Editor" (not the Quick Reply) there is a "check box" below the entry field that reads: Notify me when a reply is posted. I think by default it is "checked", because I was getting the same messages and I never checked it myself. So just make sure it isn't checked before you "submit" your reply.
I also went back into posts (edit) that I had replied to an unchecked the box. This solved my problem. And now when I compose a message it defaults to the box being unchecked.

You can also change the notification setting in the User Control Panel.

I just turned 606 of you off by default. I must have overlooked this, so thanks for bringing it up. May this be merged with the existing Report forum problems here. topic?

You have my permission to do so.
(But that means absolutely nothing. It just made me feel important.)

I have the "NEW*" marker on every thread ever written on the board that I've not read since the move. Usually these would go away after visting the board and they'd only show for new threads since my last visit. Is this happening to everyone else too? I've searched through user CP several times, flushed cookies, logged out, logged in, no difference.

Quite normal. If you wish to remove them all, just go to the index page and press "Mark Forums Read". It works on a per topic basis.

Hey DW. I had the same thing. But is seemed to clear up for me once I "clicked" on the "Mark Forums Read" button. (It can be found on the main page, right side, just below the picture.)
Anymore I use the "View unread posts" link that is just above that, and I haven't had any problems since then. Don't know if it will work for you, but it might be worth a shot.

You also have the additional issue of the forum being new and every single post on it was unread when you first landed here. There really isn't any other difference other than here being on a per topic basis. If you don't put all the lights out when you leave a forum, the one on the index won't go out. Just use the "Mark Forum Read" button to exit the forum and all is well!
