I went fishing for Large and Smallscale Yellowfish on Saturday, but I only managed to catch some Largemouth Bass. I encountered a juvenile crocodile of about 40 inches at one of the pools, but it rushed into the water as soon as it saw me. The specific river flows into a big dam with some big Crocs, which is not too far away!

Other than that, it was a good days fishing under wild skies.

Nice. If I only saw those pics, I'd wonder where in the Texas hill country that was!

Hennie here in the USA a dam refers to a dam wall. Here a dam is a pond or lake. What lake/dam is it that you you were referring to. (Eric Grove asking, ex South Africa, Alberton)

I never got to fish that dam but heard good reports of big Blou Kurper (Tilapia) there.
One of them on a 3 weight would be a Blue Gill on steroids.

Braver man than I. The Crocs would have kept me home.

A friend of mine also suggested that it might be a Spotted Bass.
