I took my son to an easy to access spot to catch his first fish on the fly rod. He worked all year on casting in the yard. Today was tough fishing but he stuck it out. He managed to catch two nice brook trout on a BWO and a lot of missed fish.ImageImageImage
He was worn out by a day of casting and running around.

How wonderful! Always good to see fathers building bonds with their kids.

This is my third time reading this topic. :) Makes me smile. A long time ago I was that little boy.

As was I a long time ago. Every time we pass even the smallest body of water the interrogation starts. What kind of fish do you think lives there. Can we fish it sometime. It makes me smile.
