Chris,
That's a heck of a cat on a 3wt!
Biggest I've taken is a 23" channel on my 3 wt. A 26 incher is good sized anyway, but on a 3wt, it's a MONSTER!
Congrats on a fine catch.
Mikey

TFO  Lefty Kreh Professional 7'6" 3wt with 4wt SA GPX Mastery Floating Line
Size 14 PT Flashback w/ Size 22 Disco Midge dropper
Lake Crowley Rainbow, approx 17"

Generally speaking, I loathe float tubing. It's too mellow. But, my father-in-law and son love it and having 3 generations on the water is always something special! So, for these moments, I bust out the 'big gun' 3wt. I caught this hen on the midge dropper using an indicator set to approx. 12'. She put the bend on and was sure pretty. Best of all, I had bragging rights for the morning.

This started today as a small sunfish hooked to a size 16 "Ellis Hatch" during an afternoon quick trip to a local pond.
The bass attacked the sunny and ended up hooked in the corner of the mouth.
I've had this happen on several other occasions, but they always broke off, this was the first I ever landed.
