This thread is a dedicated "BEST OF" thread for photos of your favorite UL catch.
Here are a few simple rules:

All photos of fish must have been caught on UL fly-fishing gear as defined by Jeremy--a 000wt through 3 wt rod.
Each forum member is allowed only one post in this thread. You are free to change your post or delete it and add a new one as often as you would like but you can only have one post up at any one time.
No followup or comment posts allowed in this thread. We can have a second thread for comments but this thread is meant to be a nice summary of photos.
A maximum of two photos allowed in your post. You can still start another thread for photos or a trip report and post as many photos as you like.
This isn't meant to be a thread of only BIG fish. It's meant to display your FAVORITE UL catch which, as many of us know, is not necessarily the biggest fish you've caught. It could be your favorite because of the trip you were on, the folks you were with, or the rod you were using. It's up to you. Here's a suggested format of info we'd like to see: - Rod/Reel/Line/tippet
- Fly Size and Pattern
- Fish Species, and Size if you want
- Location
- Some brief Comments
- The actual photo or photos

Just to get the ball rolling.... - Sage TXL 00 wt, Sage 3100 reel, Sage Quiet Double Taper 00 wt line, 4X tippet
- Size 14 Potts Hair Hackle
- LM Bass - 16"
- The neighborhood pond
- Best fish so far on my lightest rod. The flies were given to me by a friend in Montana. The fish was a blast on the 00wt!

- Cabelas 3wt Three Forks rod with Cabelas Prestige reel
- Hopper pattern
- Cutthroat Trout
- Methow River, Washington State
- I decided to do some fishing while vacationing in WA and I decided to pick up a Cabelas Three Fork combo before we left ($40 after discounts and credit card incentive). One of my favorites since I had started to learn fly fishing and this was my very first trout ever.

5'6" 1 weight bamboo rod built on Tony Spezio blank, 1.2 ounce Dennison micro reel, .9 ounces with Sage Quiet Taper WF1F line Jerry's Secret Pond, Spring 2009 Not my all time favorite fish, but the biggest ever caught on this rod. One weight bamboo rods are hard to obtain. The Dennison reel is very small and only fits the dedicated reel seat. The grip is made from cork inserts glued end to end and tapered at the front.

Caught this beautiful Indo-pac tarpon on my 3# Lami custom made by yours truly. The reel used is a SAGE Click 1 loaded with Aquanova 3# floating line ended with a furled leader and a FC 10 lb tippet. Fly: Olive damsel on size 6 hook Location: Bagan Datoh, Perak , MALAYSIA ( It's a coconut plantation area ) This is a tilapia caught on my 3# Lami mounted with SAGE Click 1. Line used: Aquanova #3 WF floating with furled leader and a 6 lb tippet. Fly: Deer hair pellet fly on size 10 hook This fish was caught at a private pond in Lurah Bilut, Pahang - MALAYSIA Basically these fish are pellet fed and not a problem using pellet fly here.

A most special 3wt fiberglass fly rod with agate guides and staggered, hand-blued metal ferrules. This is Mike's 10th Anniversary Rod, and since serial number 1 was lost in Michigan, this one with serial number 2 is one of only 9 in existence. Rigged here with a CFO II.

Cabela's 3 Forks combo 3wt with 6lb P-Line Floroclear Size 10 dirty white woolly bugger Carp Small Ohio Stream Landed this guy in April in couple feet of clear water. He was feeding heavy, making those puffs of smoke on the bottom. Heard my fly hit the water and moved to take it as it fell.

• Sage TXL 00wt/ 00 quiet double taper line/ Orvis BBS1 reel/ 6x tippet • Yellow #12 Madam X • Brown Trout 12" • Nettle Creek • This was a super fun fish to catch on the 00wt! I was hiding behind a rock when I tossed my fly in, I had 1 fish look at the fly and then out from below a rock this guy came out and hammered the fly! He was my largest local brown to date. It was so much fun watching him charge the fly so the other smaller Brown couldn't eat it! • Justin

I'm updating my favorite UL "Wall of Fame" post because ... well, the other one was from last year. My Bro' and his lady friend were over on the Island visiting, last weekend. They both live "in the city", and don't get out into the woods very often - so Melissa and I decided a day trip out to our favorite bit of the Island was in order. I took along the 2wt (of course) because we decided to hike in, and pic-nic along a beautiful little stream which is a tributary of my favorite little Island system. I've crossed this tributary a number of times in hiking the 6KM up river, which is my normal route for a day on this system - but had never tossed a fly into it, thinking it too small to hold much of interest. Well imagine my surprise! 2wt 8'0 Elkhorn, 2/3 Okuma SLV, 3wt Cortland Clear Creek, 3lb tippet. #16 Elk Hair Caddis Coastal Cutthroat. I cast again into the head of the pool and rose another respectable Cutty which snapped the fly from the tippet on its first run. I'll be returning soon to see if I can retreve that fly!

This is a 3 lb. smallmouth from the upper Hudson River, in upstate NY. It was caught on a beadchain olive flash bugger with 4x tippet. Diamondback 7'9 trout classic 2 wt. w/ Orvis BBSII This was one of 71 smallies landed on 9/13. A great day with a great rod. Thanks to my wife for the pic and for paddling the yak! Charlie

Finally landed this 20" Rainbow Trout after having him on briefly several times in the previous weeks. Caught in March 2010 at a local Tucson area "Urban Pond" on my self built St Croix SCIII (Avid) 7'6" 2wt, Rio 5X tippet and my favorite size 10 Gray Olive Arizona Simiseal Leech I tie. He swam off to fight another day. Everyone thought I was nuts for putting 16" and 20" measuring wraps on a 2wt rod....................... now they know why! Crappy cell phone pictures but better than nothing.

Sweet bamboo rod!
Is a quad, or a six piece?
What kind of glue did you use, and how did you finish it?
Would love to see a closer pick of it.
