Now I don't know anything about Bellator rods, but it sure is hard to argue with success.

Thanks for the post. I've never heard of Bellator and always happy to read about something that I am unfamiliar with. And, that's one of the major reasons I read these posts.

That's a brute of a fish. Well done sir, well done indeed.
I have never heard of that brand of rod either, so could you tell me what length and weight the rod is, along with the action? The reel looks nice on it as well.

Its a ten foot "2wt" its a competition nymphing taper so calling it a 2wt is a bit wrong as they have butt sections comparable to a 5wt, they are tapered much differently than traditional fly rods they are tapered to cast long leaders approximately 2x rod length in competition, how ever the competition fly lines are nothing more than super fine fly line .022" and sag wise is comparable to running the long french leaders that use to be competition legal
