Well, Sasha, for a guy who claims to have lost "some" interest, it looks like you're livin' pretty well in the outdoors. Awesome pics.

I know what you mean about the DSLR thing, mine has been largely relegated to backyard birding in recent years. Requires too much dedicated attention versus smaller cameras sometimes and is cumbersome when there's much going on.

If anything, your somewhat diminished(?) flyfishing passion can be thought of as a sabbatical of sorts where the focus is more on showing the next generation a living approach to adventure. Way to be!

I tried to get some more pics for this thread yesterday. Unfortunately my kids and I all got skunked on our trip to the Caney fork. We threw everything at them from heavy streamers on my greater then 3WT rod, to nymphs and dries. Spoke to a few others that were fishing and they too weren't having any luck. Oh well, as I told my boys, it beats being back home playing video games etc. I wish they had parent teacher conferences more often so we could fish during the week outside of school breaks.


Yes, lake run steelhead are on my checklist of things to do. Granted they're not wild native Pacific steelhead; however, I suspect that they would be fun to catch. As I am also reasonably close to the Gulf, I want to spend some more time down there as well. I half assed attempted to fish when we were all down in FL for my birthday for a week this past summer.

As far as image hosting, I switched to Imgur, so far I have not had any issues with that service.
