Tied some clouser minnow flies and plan on using them on the 3/4 weight and 5/6 weight to target yellow perch and white perch in the Delaware bay, creeks, ditches, and spillways. Last weeks Delaware fishing report stated that the yellow perch will be the first to run and that would be when it starts to warm at the end of February and white perch soon after that! Looking for any help on the subject! Thanks and Enjoy!

Nice looking flies! I've had my best luck on yellow perch with MMMinnows in yellow/black and yellow/red, in #12 and #10. Can't say I've ever caught a yellow perch on fly up here much before late May, though, so lucky you! brent

Maybe one of these days! Enjoy and Be Safe!

Thanks, wheezeburnt Thanks Strummer, I believe I have the skills for the MM Minnow. I just ordered a 100 feet of chain beard eyes and also Don from SC is a member here and fly fishes for The Bluegill s too! Will add them to the list of flies to tie, so far the list includes the Panfish Wiggler and the Bream Killer! Enjoy and Be Safe!

Gill Guy: sorry for the confusion. Yes, you definitely have the skills. And they're great for sunfish and smallmouth/largemouth, too. Also fallfish and chain pickerel, but not that often.
Cliff: Quit picking on me. You know I'm sensitive about that stuff.

That's an awesome fly that's simple to tie.
