i thought i would share our favorite recipe for gills and crappies ..

we love this stuff it's simple and taste great ..Zatarain's Fish Fri ..
just add moist fish to the breading "nice thin coating for panfish " thicker coating add 1 cup of milk and one egg .dip fish in batter then to the breading ..
we add a dash of kosher salt, fresh ground black pepper and old bay ....we use canola oil for frying and any left overs can be reheated in the oven on a cookie sheet and it comes out crispy !!

Tin...I have used Zatarains before and it is very good...I make my own batter but, being a bachelor I just kinda eye up my mix..next time I do it I will measure and let you know my results..It contains a egg...progressive Italian bread crumbs..Nature's seasoning,a touch of beer, some dill pickle juice, and flour...It is very good...by the way, get some nice sized dill pickles, slice them up and dip them in the Zatarains and fry with the fish...tastes great with a plate of crappie/gill/bass...some fries and a ice cold beer in a frosted glass..(only time I use alcohol)....Onion rings are good also....darn...I gotta get me a mess soon!! my stomach just growled...

Andy that looks delicious. The only fish I eat though is Grorton's, from the walmart freezer section.

Time for new fried bluegill recipes. YouTube has several that use the brand: Louisiana Fish Fry
