If you like the peaty whiskey try the Bowmore very nice but very strong iodine type another good Islay is largavulin.Gentleman Jack also very nice I probably have a problem but there are too many good whiskeys to have a favorite both rye and scotch.

I personally like DeBalvenie. The one that is aged in Oak and then Sherry barrels suits me nicely with one ice cube or a splash of water in a snifter.
