dhover8448, it is an unmarked and unknown very light reel perhaps an 1 1/2" diameter with as strong clicker. According to Fishing collectibles by Russell Lewis, this reel is based on an older Kopf patent reel, but the foot screams early Pflueger design.

Dave, It's 2 1/2" O/S diameter and weighs in at 3.5 ounces with backing and 70' of WF1 line.

I was wondering when you get on this cool site! UL and classic reels....doesn't get much better than this! Have you lined your Martin? I got a Martin #7, about the same size as a 61 but it has two maroon handles, no porting on the spool, factory baby blue paint and it came with the original box for $9.95! It had some old dry line on it but if it was fished it was only a few times.

Hi Les, Here are the pictures of the Martin #7 off e-bay. It came with it's original box, it's about the same diameter as a 61 but it's narrower. I haven't seen one like it. I asked several members from classic reels if they have seen this one.

That is very cool- I think I remember seeing that one. Have you had a chance to weigh the line?

I've got one of these rods coming to me and thought I'd revive this old thread. Anyone else care to comment on what a preferred reel is for the Orvis UltraFine 7'9" 2wt? How about preferred lines? Thanks!
