Bad luck! The link is not working now. One of my friends had told me about your post when I told her that I am looking for stylish Louis Vuitton handbag. Anyways, if you have something more to offer, please share.

Anyways, if you have something more to offer, please share. If you're feeling frugal, head for the local thrift store. For years, I used a Samsonite carry-on as my kit bag... which I'd picked at just such a store. It was roomy with lots of pockets, a nice forest green and tough as nails - as tough, or tougher, than those EvilMart sells for fishing. 4 or 5 Plano boxes inside and you're golden. In a purge, inspired by a second household move, I let the bag go. It had become redundant, because I'd moved to an Army rucksack, by then. I walk the bank, most days and the back pack keeps my hands free. It was kindly donated by my NatGuard nephew. Ooh rah! But I'm confident I could find the equal of that Samsonite with just a little diligence ... And a few dollars at the charity shop.

That Swiss bag looks interesting. Although these are definitely not "frugal", I like the fly fishing gear made by Joe Goetzern. The shoulder bag holds everything I need for the day and the lanyard is great for short distance forays. http://www.leatherandcanvas.com/html/fly_fishing_.html

Ditto on the Goertzen stuff. I have a lanyard by him that I converted to wear over my left shoulder with with a cross-body strap I made from old fly line that I braided to be thicker.

Anyone use one of those canvas creel bags as their tackle and take home dinner bag? I thought about the arctic creel bag but man those are pricey.

I waterproofed mine; works great. Its what I carry trout fishing. Caught it on sale for $4 if I remember correctly. I'm usually fishing for brim and bass out of a yak or boat so I have a different kind of bag for those-p-

I followed Glass stixx's advice and bought a map case from Army surplus for use as a shoulder bag. It works for me.

I was at Walmart yesterday and saw a variety of double-compartment zippered bags with hip and shoulder straps in the $8 to $15 range. I looked at one and it had mesh compartments inside and out.
