By biggest "frugal" find has to be the discovery of SWEET fly bags at wal-mart. Seems the ladies purse department (insert eye rolling and laughing here) often gets in some really nice bags that are near perfectly sized for our needs. My favorite, pictured here is 9.5"x5.5"x3" and made of heavy Cordura. One internal main compartment holds a saltwater sized/large fly box perfectly. There are also 5 other zippered pockets with plenty of room for leaders, tippet dispensers, floatant, bug juice (even a candy bar). It lso has a buckled sunglass pocket , a licence holder and a (pencil) slot to hold your hemo's . I added a piece of lambs wool fly patch ( thanks to a surplus ice scraping mitt) to the front and have to say I wouldn't change a thing. I have 4 of these ( in different colors) and just leave them rigged for specific species.
Oh yea, it doesn't say orvis on it but it cost a whopping $6.88
