I made this one last spring, but would like to share it with you guys.

Its my homemade tippet dispenser. I'll probably be posting alot of these simple type of gadgets.  I just like to make things, and  I hope that I'm not boring anyone, some of these idea's may have been rehashed before my time.

You can also see my WD-40 straw,  duct tape nail not tier.

Its just in my nature to try and make something before I buy it.   The guys who have seen my posts on other sites, have probably  already noticed how much of cheapskate I can be.

You're not alone, there are lots of like minded people in this sport. Funny how most gear costs so much, but Fly fishing had its roots in blue collar fisherman coming home from WWII.  I think it's pretty cool to come up with low cost solutions -that's the purpose of the Frugal Fly Fisherman forum.  Image

I made a couple cotter pin nail knot tyers after planting several tie fast tools.....

Well actually the last one was picked up off a park bench by a passing ne'erdowell with a spincast setup. Grrrrrrrr.....
