these I soak in food dye with water and a bit of vinegar to set the color. Use the scent free sheets. When they are dry I cut them in strips and wrap them over thread for a neat and clean body. You can overlap the edges or twist them for a different effect.

I also just read that they keep mosquito's off you... so try one in your upper vest pocket.

I use the spent or used ones to create wings - There is a Bounce fly pattern out there that recommens hitting the sheet with an iron to remove rinkles. Also I've been tying egg patterns in which I rip off pieces to create the tailing membrane that you see on egg patterns sold in some fly shops. I'll try and post up some detailed photos.
