Got a bit fed up of trying to cram tools and materials into a laptop bag, so I put and old ABS briefcase to use and some scrap ply.

Needs a few separators and a coat of finish and sanding, but this is how far I got

Top tier, 50mm deep, tools and maybe a vice:

Second tier, 25 mm deep, will take threads on their side, and other slim stuff

Bottom tier, 40mm deep, any other stuff, dubbing boxes etc

Very cool. Almost like a spy case for tying

That's awesome! I need one of these. When I go to a fly tying gathering, I put everything in a large tupperware (not cool).

I have made a small modification-

The thickness if the base if the top tier was just a little bit too thick to let the lid close comfortably with my toolbox in, so I have done away with it and cut a piece of 1.5mm carbon sheet material to let the toolbox sit on, and stop the materials directly underneath coming out

All fits in nicely, including my vice and bobbin hanger

Nice Job! Much like tying flies, if I can built something by hand, it makes it even more satisfying.
