Not visited here for a bit ( been busy nymphing and learning tenkara ) but I thought this may be of interest to you recyclers 8)

I treated my self recently to a new vice, and as it came with a C clamp I needed to make a pedestal for it.

The material I used came out of a skip, in its former life it was bench seating in a swimming pool. It's a very dense laminated plastic material about 3/4" thick, I think it's proper name is paxolin.

Anyway, base with removable tool caddy. The blue waste tray is a drill box lid secured with magnets

Embellished a bit further with a new light mount made from an old pressure sensor, and also added a sight board made from white closed cell foam

Cool. How is the hook range on the J vice? I have been thinking about picking one up.
