How many of y'all have utilized pieces of feather waste or re-purposed items for tying flies? Remember the Briminator? It was the winning concept from a contest at the local main street outfitters fly shop in Ft Worth Texas which used waste materials. I love this flie since it uses one hen feather, a hook, beadchain and some dubbing.
So that brings me to a recent aquisiton from my wife. She likes to get her toes done at a local salon, and while the nail polish is drying the beauty technician inserts an EVA foam dike in between her toes to prevent accidental smearing. Those lavender and white colored foam pieces look like this:

I think these are perfect popper materials and can be die or scissor cut to size and shape. I'll try a few of these "piggy poppers"; that's right these piggies will bring 'em all the way home
