Hey guys,

Thought I'd share another SBS with everyone here. While this one may seem a bit odd for an Ultralight forum, I actually threw the chartreuse version (tied on a #4 Gamakatsu B10S stinger) with my 3wt yesterday and it cast fairly well. The key is simply limiting the number of wraps of crosscut rabbit to cut down on bulk when using lighter rods.

As for the fly itself, I just love action of rabbit strip streamers and really think the downsized version will be a killer. Hair undulates with every strip of the line and the fly almost suspends between strips. Expecting the smaller size to do quite well on Smallmouth when I head north later this spring. Though I may give them a try for Specks and White Trout under the lights as well once summer is here. Let me know what you think.

Here's the Link: Pike Bunny Streamer

IME, sometimes on light tackle the soggy and heavy stuff flies better in the wind. A bit different physics to it I guess, more along the lines of beadheads and clousers, but they can get out better sometimes. Fly momentum matters.

Good to have a few chunky/heavy in every box regardless of tackle rating used.

That's always been my opinion. Of course, I've also caught myself in the back of the head more than a few times when I forgot the duck portion of "chuck and duck."
