Hey guys,

Thought I'd share this little beetle pattern, I stumbled across on social media a while back. It was created by Russian tyer, Dmitri Tseliaritski, and can also double as a caddis with a few tweaks. At this point, I've tied up a half dozen and hope to put them to work in Colorado at the end of the month.

Here's the link for those interested:

The version shown is tied on a #14 caddis hook. Pics are below.

Chris

I was under the impression that the Canadian diet strictly consists of Molson, donuts, and back bacon...

Bear in mind my exposure to Canadian culture is limited to SCTV and a few benders in Niagara falls...

(Great post, Chris!)

Strummer: Doug and Bob MacKenzie misspoke: its not strictly, just mostly. (and on behalf of our British members, Strummer's use of the word 'bender' refers to a session of abject drunkenness; not what you may have thought) lol.

I once saw a bug like that on my patio, then a bird flew next to it and ate it.
